Bangkok (ASTV Manager Online) – Thai people were warned not to stay outdoors or occupy thundering conductors since Thailand is moving from summer to rainy season.
According to the department of prevention and relief of public disasters, thunder often occurs during this kind of seasonal change.
More than one-third of people who experienced thunder were likely to die at the scene. It is like they were electrocuted by more than 200,000 amperes of electricity.
People facing thunder usually become unconscious. Heart stops pounding and brain does not function.
It is suggested that people should not carry or wear things with conducting quality. They should not be near or use devices like mobile phones and public phones.
Ornaments such as silver, gold, bronze and bangle should be avoided as well.
People should not be under big trees, signboards and high-voltage lamp posts when going outdoors.
They should close all mirrors and try not to get out of the car when thunder happens.
Computer, television, radio and water heater should be switched off too.
