Bangkok (ASTV Manager Online) – It is possible that gold prices will go up to test the highest level at 1,034 dollars per ounce this year, according to Jitti Tangsithpakdi, president of the Gold Traders Association of Thailand.
Gold prices tend to rise more within this year, waiting for some positive factors to stimulate the prices.
Gold prices will normally hike when world’s economy becomes worse or a financial crisis happens.
The domestic gold price tends to again rise over 16,450 baht per one-baht weight if the world’s price breaks the price record of over 1,034 dollars.
Thailand’s gold prices dropped even though the world’s gold price was more than 924 dollars per ounce. This was because of strong baht currency.
The price of bar gold was 15,100 baht whereas the price of gold ornaments was 15,550 baht.
