Bangkok (ASTV Manager Online) – Most of Thai people wanted the ASEAN nations to focus on international trade cooperation to boost the region’s economy.
1,302 households in 17 provinces including Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Sukhothai and Chonburi were surveyed.
90.9 percent gave the first priority to international trade problems, according to the ABAC Poll.
76.6 percent voiced their concerns over war weapons.
59.2 percent thought that the ASEAN summit would be useful compared to 46.8 percent in February.
Thailand earlier postponed the summit hosting in Pattaya due to the red-shirt protests.
Hua Hin was considered the safest place for foreign tourists, followed by Cha-am, Phuket, Chiang Mai, Rayong, Phang Nga, Krabi and Mae Hon Song respectively.
