Bangkok (ASTV Manager Online) – It was proposed that taxes should be collected from the owners of condominium projects and department stores in Bangkok.
Condominiums, department stores or any kinds of large buildings are believed to worsen Bangkok’s traffic condition.
How much percentage of tax should be imposed on these buildings will depend on the impact of them on the city’s traffic.
It will not be surprising to learn that both India and China are places for terrible traffic since they are known for such high population rates.
Thailand’s Bangkok is on the world’s worst traffic list apart from China’s Beijing and Shanghai, India’s Calcutta and Chennai, Egypt’s Cairo, Indonesia’s Jakarta as well as Brazil’s Sao Paulo.
The congestion charge is currently applied in London, Durham, Singapore, Rome, Stockholm, Milan, Oslo, etc.

People caught in traffic are three times more likely to have a heart attack within the hour than those who are not in a jam.
Nearly one in 12 heart attack cases were linked to traffic. Women and those who were 60 years up were at high risk.
However, it is unclear whether heart attacks are the results of traffic or exposure to high level of pollution.
