Bangkok (ASTV Manager Online) – People in Nakhon Ratchasima were warned of summer diseases and suggested to focus on three things to stay healthy.
The weather was cold between night-time and early in the morning although it was hot during daytime, according to Nakhon Ratchasima public health office.
Three supportive factors to cope with summer and prevent summer diseases are food, exercise and emotion.
People were told to consume useful dishes and focus on fruit as well as vegetables. Drinking clean water and avoiding spicy food were suggested.
Exercise is another choice. People should exercise at least three days a week and each exercise should take about 30 minutes.
The last factor is emotion. People should stay away from stress by doing some activities such as tree growing, music playing, drawing, travel and so on.
Diarrhea topped the summer disease list in 2008. Having fever with unknown reasons came in the second place whereas pneumonia in the third place and food poisoning in the fourth place.
Sickness caused by food and water was still high in January, 2009. People were told to eat newly-cooked dishes and specially become careful about infants’ water.
