Bangkok (ASTV Manager Online) – Women were mostly afraid of community crimes and some were even annoyed by them, according to a poll.
Assumption University surveyed 2,449 respondents concerning their opinions on crimes.
74.8 percent said they were afraid of community crimes whereas 62.1 percent used to get annoyed with them.
55.6 percent thought police did not come to provide patrol service for people’s safety during the past thirty days.
As for crimes-related news, 60.3 percent were news about rapes and murder.
50.5 percent were news about rapes whereas 51.9 percent were news about thefts.
Economic recession and political change reportedly caused fear of crimes.
The survey was conducted since it was earlier reported that the gross domestic happiness decreased in January.
