Politics, economy make social problems rise

Bangkok (ASTV Manager Online) – Urgent social problems which need to be solved included drugs (20.03%), robbery and theft (19.32%), raping and sexual harassment (17.35%) and corruption (14.82%).

Rajabhat Suan Dusit University surveyed 5,374 respondents from all walks of life during January 21-26.

Social problems rose up to 92.02 percent because people did not respect laws, poor people increased, media influenced people and economic problem became worse.

7.98 percent said social problems were still the same since problems were not solved seriously.

89.38 percent thought that political conflicts led to more social problems whereas 10.62 percent said that they were still the same because politicians wanted to win over their opponents.

96.47 percent believed economic condition led to increasing social problems while 3.53 percent said the problems were still the same as they were not solved seriously.

39.87 percent wanted politicians to stop fighting with each other so that problems would be solved whereas 23.42 percent thought economic problem should be solved urgently.

14.56 percent said culprits should face more punishments.

12.66 percent wanted all parties to cooperate to solve problems continually and seriously while 9.49 percent said virtues needed to be implanted among people.
