Bangkok (ASTV Manager Online) – The Thai Travel Agent Association (TTAA) joins private sector to hold the sixth Thai International Travel Fair 2009 at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center (QSNCC). More than 800 million baht are expected to be spent at the event.
The Travel Fair 2009 will take place between February 26 and March 1.
Both Thai and foreign airlines, travel agencies, hotels and resort will join to hold 1,005 booths at the QSNCC.
600,000-700,000 participants are expected to attend the travel fair to yield 800 million baht of sales.
Charoen Vang-ananont, TTAA president, said the event was to boost the travel market since the beginning of the year to cope with economic crisis.
30-60 percent of discount for accommodation will be offered. The package tour price will drop by 30 percent.
Two-million-baht prizes will be available for participants at the travel fair. Prizes include package tours on both domestic and overseas routes.
