Bangkok - Many Cambodian vendors who used to orders products from Thai vendors stopped buying several product items indefinitely.

Thai-Cambodian border trade at five points in Chanthaburi province temporarily ceased to resume.

Affected product items included cement, wall and flooring tiles, ceiling boards, stationery, computer equipment, meat and animal feeds.

Thai vendors were said to lose more than ten million baht per day of income.

50 percent of product orders dropped this month.

Cambodian vendors explained that they had to stop purchasing those products because the domestic purchasing power declined.

Cambodia had increasing unemployment rate and several businesses, especially construction business, faced liquidity problem.
