Bangkok - Most people in Bangkok thought the bus fare cuts were suitable as they were in line with decreasing oil prices.
Bus fares today begin to drop 1-1.5 baht on all routes.
The Central Land Transport Committee yesterday announced the bus fare cuts which were applied to BMTA, white-blue buses and mini-buses.
People thought the fare cuts would help reduce the cost of living, especially when economy slows down due to internal and external factors.
The government was urged to manage consumer product prices in line with declining oil prices to boost people’s consumption.
The Chao Phraya Express Boat agreed to reduce one baht of all boat fares, effective since November 3 onwards.
The ferry fare will also drop 0.50 baht as well.
There will be no fare cut for Saensaeb boats since the boat fare cuts have started since October 20.
