Bangkok - The Bangkok Mass Transit Authority (BMTA) provides the cheap oil for private buses to help reduce their energy cost burden.

BMTA’s cheap oil has been available since June 4.

The price of its oil is three baht cheaper than the before-petrol-station price.

Some buses have a problem approaching the cheap oil as they are far from BMTA’s 24 service points.

BMTA sent its letter to let garages know they could join the BMTA in the cheap oil scheme. This is to extend the service points to cover more areas.

Service hours for cheap oil filling are during 10.00 am- 3.00 pm.

The white-blue buses, mini-buses, red pickup trucks or Songtaew, vans and even BMTA buses are the target groups.

One million litres of cheap oil is available in each day.
