Bangkok - The stock index bounced up nearly sixteen points in the afternoon as the government was expected to lift the emergency decree.
The index remained at 661.78. Trading volumes were more than six billion baht.
It was reported the rumor of decree lifting was released to bring back foreign investors’ confidence.
Increasing index was supported by positive factors both at home and abroad.
It was anticipated the government would not resist the social pressure. The emergency decree would be lifted as it did not solve the political problem.
The Constitutional Court will tomorrow give its verdict whether Prime Minister Samak Sundaravej’s cooking show was against the law or not.
