Bangkok - Most foreigners did not know about political conflict between the government and People’s Alliance for Democracy (PAD). 60.3% considered the PAD’s rally as part of the democratic process.
676 foreigners, most of whom were Europeans, were surveyed.
61.5% of the respondents did not know about Thailand’s political conflict while 38.5% knew about the situation.

Asked about the best solution to the conflict, most of the respondents (76.8%) said the problem should be solved peacefully.
7.8% thought corruption problem should be dealt with while 3.5% said political cases should be settled.
Most foreigners were most satisfied with Thai food and people.
They were also happy with Thai culture, life and asset safety, and tourist attractions respectively.
It is interesting that the foreigners’ happiness point was averagely up to 8.02 while Thais’ happiness point was only 6.08.
