Bangkok - The former prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra’s spokesman Pongthep Thepkanchana said he did not know about the cancellation of Thaksin and Pojaman’s visas by British Embassy.
British Embassy in Bangkok sent emails to the members of the Airport Operations Committee (AOC) to inform its members about such visa cancellation.
It was recommended that airlines should not take Thaksin and Pojaman to the United Kingdom.
A source at AOC said that airlines in Thailand should get emails informing that news as well as worldwide airlines.
The Nation newspaper also confirmed the visa cancellation and revealed British Embassy refused to give any comments.
Many parties believed such cancellation was because the court ruled Pojaman was guilty in the Shin Corp case while Thaksin got two-year imprisonment in the Ratchadapisek land case.
Pongthep said he did not know where Thaksin is now. He only knew Thaksin was in Hong Kong when the ex-premier made a phone-in on November 1.
