Bangkok - Not less than four culprits set fire to the former Assets Examination Committee (AEC) member Khunying Jaruwan Menthaka’s new house in Nonthaburi province.
Two tyres and an oil container were found at the scene.
The incident took place at 2:40 AM when four culprits went to the second floor of the house to set fire.
Khunying Jaruwan was told about this bad news by her son on the phone this morning.
The house is still under construction.
The former AEC member was previously criticized for her irregular richness.
It was rumored the construction cost of her house was up to 40-50 million baht. But Khunying Jaruwan denied the rumor, saying it cost only 4.4 million baht.
The house is located at Soi Srisaman 2, Pakkred District, Nonthaburi province.
