Bangkok - Bank of Thailand (BoT) Governor Tarisa Watanagase confirmed she would continue doing her job despite the dismissal rumor.
Tarisa said she did not know about the dismissal rumor, adding that the BankThai (BT) capital raising was clear.
The Financial Institutions Development Fund (FIDF) would seek partners to buy the bank’s capital-increase shares.
It is expected the issue will be concluded within this month.
Previously, MR Pridiyathorn Devakul, former Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister, said there was a movement to dismiss Tarisa.
She could not follow the government’s policy, especially in the BankThai’s capital-increase plan, according to Pridiyathorn.
The bank faced 2,215 million baht of loss.
