Bangkok - Fourty scholarships were offered to Thai Muslim students in the south to further their study at the University of Bahrain.
Muslim students will have the opportunity to do their bachelor’s degree in four years.
Bahrain’s prime minister offered the scholarships to tighten ties between Bahrain and Thailand.
Thai Muslim youths are encouraged to use their knowledge to develop their provinces and country after graduation.
Scholarships will be given to students in Yala, Pattani, Narathiwat and Satun province.
Studying fields vary from engineering, business management to information technology and architecture.
Applications can be made until August 10.
