Bangkok - Thai people expressed concerns over the controversial Preah Vihear temple, calling on the government to take responsibility for the happening mistake, according to Rangsit Poll.
Rangsit University surveyed 1,319 respondents in Bangkok and surrounding provinces and six other provinces on June 28-30.
Most respondents moderately kept up with the disputed temple news on television and newspapers.
They also got the information from the censure debate, and thought the opposition party outdid the government in the debate.
They also would like to protect and maintain Thailand’s sovereignty over the temple.
It was proposed an international law expert panel should be set up to handle the issue.
The government was urged to resign and to dismiss Foreign Minister Noppadon Pattama as well.
It was also suggested the Preah Vihear temple should be jointly registered as the World Heritage site by both Thailand and Cambodia.
