Bangkok - Gen Sonthi Boonyaratglin did not admit or refuse the September 19 coup would be the last one for Thailand.
King Prajadhipok’s Institute interviewed Gen Sonthi Boonyaratglin about his political idea and published it at http://www.civilvoice.net.
Gen Sonthi was the leader of the military coup which ousted the ex-premier Thaksin Shinawatra in 2006.
He gave his opinion that whether there would be a coup depends on each government.
He also said the possibility of the military coup did not rely on soldiers but the people –especially the middle-class people.
If the government does a good job based on competence, honesty and loyalty, he believes there would be no coup.
If not, a crisis will surely happen.
