No Burmese people outside Myanmar during May 8-11

Mae Hong Son - The Burmese government does not allow its people to travel outside the kingdom during May 8-11 as the referendum will be held.

It was reported Burmese soldiers in the Shan State which is opposite to Mae Hong Son did not permit travelling outside the kingdom or crossing to Thai border.

Burmese people have to be in the country from 8 am of May 8 to 6 pm of May 11.

The junta government will hold a referendum on such period of time.

The Burmese people have to vote in favor of or against the referendum on a new constitution.

Burmese soldiers strictly control the entrances to Mae Hong Son province.

However, the Burmese government is urged to pay attention to the Nargis victims more than its referendum.
