Bangkok - Airports of Thailand (AOT) announced not to allow the unauthorized ten-wheeled trucks to run inside the airport, effective since May 15 onwards.
Mr. Serirat Prasutanont, director of the Suvarnabhumi Airport under the AOT Plc, revealed the unauthorized trucks would not be allowed to run on the Suvarnabhumi 1, 2, 3 and 4 Road from May 15 onwards.
The ten-wheeled trucks were said to cause traffic jams and sometimes cause accidents.
Violating truck drivers will face legal actions and be fined for less than 1,000 baht.

The number of passengers flying through the Suvarnabhumi Airport hiked 9.6% in the first quarter, according to AOT.
Being opened on 28 September 2006, Suvarnabhumi is one of the busiest airports in Asia and Bangkok’s main airport for all commercial flights.
