Bangkok - The Chiang Mai Airport plans to spend about 2,129 million baht on fifteen projects to become the regional aviation hub.
Captain Pratheep Wichittoe, director of the Chiang Mai Airport, revealed the airport has undergone renovations continuously.
The airport currently serves twelve domestic and foreign airlines – 79 flights daily.
In 2007, its revenue from the airport fees valued 472 million baht, 113- million-baht or 13% increase from 2006.
The airport served 26,708 commercial flights and more than 3.3 million passengers.
