Bangkok - Thailand will have a chance to welcome Prime Minister General Thein Sein next week on his first visit to the neighboring country, according to Foreign Ministry.
It is an important opportunity for Thailand to follow up all cooperation schemes during his three-day visit.
Linking transport networks, energy, the crackdown on drugs and opening more checkpoints were among those issues.
PM Thein Sein is scheduled to arrive in Thailand on Tuesday.
Thein Sein will be accompanied by the foreign, interior, national economic planning, transport, labour and construction ministers.
After his arrival Tuesday afternoon, the prime minister is scheduled to pay his respect to the late princess Galyani Vadhana at the Grand Palace in Bangkok.
PM Samak is due to meet his Burmese counterpart who will be granted an audience with HM King Bhumibol late in Wednesday evening.
Thailand and Myanmar are set to sign a farming agreement under which Thailand will buy crops grown under contract in Myanmar.
