BMA speeds up road cleaning to welcome Bangkokians

Bangkok - The Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) provided 300 officials to clean the roads around the city to welcome back Bangkokians.

Phra Nakhon officials cleaned the roads which were dirty during the three-day Songkran Festival.

300 officials were divided into three teams to clean then roads around the city: Khao San, Chakkrapong, Samsen, Kraisi, Ram Butri, Phra Sumeru, Sibsamhang, Dinsor, Rajadamnoen and Phra Arthit.

20 water trucks containing 6,000 litres of water were used to make all the roads clean by this afternoon.

People are coming back today to get ready for working tomorrow.

The Songkran Festival usually starts from April 13-15. People mostly leave Bangkok before the beginning day and come back to the city after the last day of the festival.

The Transport Co Ltd has provided more than 5,000 buses to serve 200,000 people, believing there will be no problem.
