Bangkok - 65.4% of teenagers would splash water during the Songkran Festival, according to Bangkok Poll. Other favorite activities would be merit-making, do the ritual bathing of the Buddha image and travel to provinces.
The surveyed respondents were youths aged 12-23 years in Bangkok and surrounding provinces.
1,247 youths were interviewed during March 30-April 1.
82.4% agreed to the liquor-free Songkran while 7.5% did not and 10.1% had no comment.
Teenagers wanted the government to solve the sexual harassment, road accident and theft problems.
Their favorite persons were Prime Minister Samak Sundaravej, ex-premier Thaksin Shinawatra and Democrat Party leader Abhisit Vejjajiva respectively.
