Bangkok - THAI inauguration flight from Bangkok to Samui was today launched. The flight takes about one hour and ten minutes, with its Boeing 737-400 airplane.
Mr. Chaiswasdi Kittipornpaibul, Transport Permanent-Secretary, and Flight Officer Apinan Sumanaserani, Thai Airways International president, jointly presided over the opening ceremony of Bangkok-Samui flying route.
The Bangkok-Samui flight will leave Bangkok at 7.45 am and 4 pm. It will arrive in Samui at 9.35 am and 7 pm respectively.
With the 149-seat Boeing 737-400 airplane, it takes about one hour and ten minutes.
The service is to give convenience to passengers, especially those who fly from Europe and North Asia to Samui Island, one of Thailand’s most popular tourist attractions.
The service is expected to help boost the domestic travel as well.
The Samui route is the 12th destination of Thai Airways' domestic routes.
