Bangkok - Thai Beverage Plc (ThaiBev) signed an agreement with Australia-based Woolworths department store to launch Chang Beer in Australia.

ThaiBev’s profits rose to 21,320 million baht in the third quarter of 2007, a 4% increase from the same period of last year.

Its low-alcohol beer sales accounted for 35.4% of total beer sales.

However, the white spirit sales reflected decreasing demand of rural consumers last year.

Its pre-tax profit soared 2.9% to reach 15,422 million baht.
