Bangkok (ASTV Manager Online) – Dr. Samlee Plianbangchang, WHO regional director for Southeast Asia, warned all countries to be cautious about influenza 2009 as the disease will become more severe.
Dr. Samlee said that it was the cycle of a disease to become more severe every thirty years.
The number of influenza 2009 patients has reached nearly 3,000 so far.
It is believed that the illness will be more intense when it is the second or third outbreak.
All nations have to closely watch the outbreak of flu and influenza 2009 since diseases will be more severe when they become mutant.
Some academics earlier suggested a law should be enforced to punish people who do not wear mask while coughing.
Tourism and Sports Minister Chumpol Silpa-archa admitted the influenza 2009 affected tourism sector very much, disagreeing to close the country for big cleaning.
