Bangkok (ASTV Manager Online) – 58.8 percent of Thai people were quite satisfied with the overall performance of the present government, according to a poll.
1,351 respondents in 17 provinces were surveyed on May 27, and they were from Bangkok, Phrae, Kamphaengphet and Chiang Mai, according to the ABAC Poll.
Most of the respondents were happy with Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva the most.
Tourism and Sports Minister Chumpol Silpa-archa and Education Minister Jurin Laksanavisit were the second and third favorite ministers.
Respondents were generally content with Abhisit government although they did not know much about some ministers.
Top ten unpopular ministers included Deputy Transport Minister Kuakul Danchaivichit, Deputy Public Health Minister Manit Nopamornbordee and Deputy Finance Minister Preuthichai Damrongrat.
Other unknown ministers were Theera Salakphet from culture ministry, Vannarat Charnnukul from energy ministry and Sophon Salam from transport ministry.
Democrat Party and its coalition parties were reportedly in conflict due to rice and corn management.
It is expected that the Democrat-led government would dissolve parliament sooner or later to enable new elections.
