Bangkok (ASTV Manager Online) – Former prime minister Samak Sundaravej will fly back to Thailand on Wednesday before undergoing an operation again.
Chakrapob Penkair, leader of the Democratic Alliance Against Dictatorship (DAAD), revealed that Samak would take a United Airlines flight on January 19 night to come back to convalesce here.
Samak will have to later fly back to the United States to undergo an operation.
A foreign news agency earlier reported that former premier Thaksin Shinawatra was assassinated.
Chakrapob said he knew on January 18 that Thaksin gave an interview to Asahi Shimbun elaborating on his assassination.
He believed the newspaper might add some more details to make the story more colorful.
Asked if he knew where Thaksin is now, Chakrapob said the former prime minister would fly to Hong Kong soon.
