Bangkok (ASTV Manager Online) – The Meteorological Department warned that Thailand’s summer tended to be very hot since the weather was drier than ever.
High-pressure mass covering Thailand became less powerful. As a result, cold and windy weather is still in every region.
Very cold weather can be expected on top of the mountain in the north and northeast. Frost can be seen in some areas as well.
This summer will be hotter than ever because the weather is drier this year, according to the department.
Smith Dhammasaroj, chief of the National Disaster Warning Center, earlier said that the very cold weather signaled Thailand would face very hot summer.
The temperature during summer would be higher and could reach 42 degrees celsius due to less humidity in the air.
People were warned of smoke and forest fire which tend to become more severe in that kind of situation.
The Department of Water Resources reported that there was more accumulated amount of rain this year.
However, the department was worried that some areas outside the irrigation zones would be much afflicted.
