Bangkok (Manager Online) - PM’s Office Minister Sathit Wongnongtoei confirmed the government would deliver its policy speech at the foreign ministry and this was not against the law.
Sathit said the government has contacted MPs and Senators and would not mind if the opposition joined the speech delivery there.
He also said that the change in speech giving place could be done as this was not against any regulations.
The Democratic Alliance Against Dictatorship (DAAD) members have still blocked the parliament to stop the government from declaring its policy.
The Royal Thai Police Commissioner-General Patcharawat Wongsuwan was yesterday assigned to negotiate with the DAAD group to allow the government to enter parliament, but failed to reach an agreement with the group.
Some government representatives were also sent to discuss the issue with the DAAD group. However, there has been no headway.
DAAD members have marched to the foreign ministry after knowing about place change.
25 police companies have been prepared to ensure peace at the ministry.
Nikom Wairatchvanich, Deputy Senate Speaker, said more Senators would come to attend the government speech and there should be no problem.
