Bangkok - The Meteorological Department issued its announcement to warn Thais of heavy rain in some areas of the south. Temperature drop would be in the north.
The powerful northeast monsoon covered the southern part of Thailand and the Gulf of Thailand. As a result, heavy rain could be expected in some areas.
Risk areas include Chumporn, Surat Thani, Nakhon Si Thammarat, Phattalung, Songkhla, Pattani, Yala and Narathiwat.
People in those areas were warned of flash floods and mountain run-off during 1-2 days.
Powerful wind and waves in the Gulf of Thailand would continue until December 1.
Fishermen should be careful about navigation. Small vessels should stop sailing.
The high-pressure mass also covered the upper part of Thailand. Cool weather will be in the north and temperature will drop 2-3 degree Celsius.
