Bangkok - Former prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra is now staying in Dubai and is going to make another phone-in next month, according to the People Power Party (PPP) MP Jatuporn Prompan.
Having made a phone-in to his supporters at the Hua Mark Stadium on November 1, the ex-premier faced a big surprise when the United Kingdom later revoked his visa on November 7.
Thaksin has traveled to Beijing and Hong Kong after the visa cancellation.
He became talk of the town again when divorcing his wife Pojaman at the Thai consulate in Hong Kong on November 14.
Seeking a new home again, Thaksin is currently staying in Dubai.
"He is in Dubai, I don't know how long he will be there," Jatuporn Prompan, a key leader for a Thaksin supporters group, told AFP in Bangkok.
Having sold Premier League Club Manchester City to Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed al Nahyan's Abu Dhabi United Group (ADUG) in September, he has links to the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
Thaksin was said to make another phone-in to his supporters on December 10. However, Jatuporn said he did not know if the then-premier would do that from the UAE.
Previously, Pojaman got three-year imprisonment for tax evasion in the Shin Corp case while Thaksin was sentenced to two years in prison in the Ratchadapisek land case.
