Bangkok - A bomb was thrown from a flyover near the Ratchada-Rama IV intersection early this morning, injuring 13 vendors nearby.
The explosion took place at 2:00 am at Klong Toei market.
Previously, some vendors rallied to protest against the market management by a new company.
13 people were injured. Two people were seriously injured.
Police did not carefully guard the area since most police officers were distributed to provide security service for people who celebrated the Loy Krathong Festival.
The attack did not appear to be linked to an anti-government protest movement that has occupied Government House, according to AFP.
