Bangkok - Three People’s Alliance for Democracy (PAD) demonstrators were slightly injured when a bomb blast took place early this morning.
The bomb blast happened at the PAD’s tent, fifty metres from the stage.
Excitement filled the rally place after the blast. However, the demonstrators later joined the rally as usual.
“I am personally not afraid of and just feel indifferent about the happening incident. I am sure the bomb came from outside the Government House. I will still join the rally even though the situation becomes more intense,” said Miss Rungthiva Rungruang, 48-year-old protester.
Injured people are Mr. Surin Chaichana, Mr. Prajit Kongrit and Jaras Limsasananont. They were all sent to Vachira Hospital.
Early this morning, police arrested the suspects who occupied war weapons at Wat Benjamaborpit intersection.
On Sunday, police also arrested two men with weapons and grenades. The PAD denied they were no longer the PAD’s security guards.
