Bangkok - The Royal Thai Navy planned to establish the waterway victims center to serve the Loy Krathong Festival.
Loy Krathong Festival, one of Thailand’s most colorful festivals, falls on November 12 this year.
Staffers will be available from 5 pm of November 12 to 8 am of November 13 to serve the festival.
Relating units such as the Marine Police Division and Water Transport and Merchant Marine Department would provide patrol service along the Chao Phraya River.
Experts to give help to victims include more than 700 divers and medical teams as well as 70 first-aid boats.
Service zones will be divided into three zones: Taksin Bridge-Pinklao Bridge, Bangna Port-Phrapadaeng and Samut Prakan area.
