Bangkok - The Industrial Economics Office (IEO) plans to inject more than 250 million baht of budget into the industrial sector to help prevent the sector from the impact of global economic crisis.
The budget is to support research projects to mainly prepare and strengthen the sectors.
The budget will be distributed to 18 projects in various industrial fields.
Six projects are in the food industry while two projects in auto and auto parts industry.
Three projects are about electrical and electronics industry, valuing 45 million baht.
Another three projects costing 23.5 million baht are in the textile and garment industry.
Three iron and steel industrial projects value 35 million baht.
The injection is to enhance entrepreneurs’ capability to ensure sustainable growth in the future.
