Bangkok - The former prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra was allowed by the court to travel to Japan and China during July 31-August 10 while his wife Khunying Pojaman would travel to China on August 5-10.
The Supreme Court's judges today tried three witnesses in the Ratchada land case.
Sombun Kuptamanas represented Khunying Pojaman Shinawatra to appear in the court.
MR Pridiyathorn Devakul, former deputy prime minister and finance minister, and Udom Phuangphung, former member of the Assets Examination Committee, also appeared as witnesses.
Thaksin will travel to Japan and China from July 31 to August 10.
He also plans to go to the United Kingdom on August 15-20. But the court did not approve his travel.
His wife Pojaman was allowed to travel to China on August 5-10. Her plan to go to Britain on August 15-20 was rejected by the court.
Both Thaksin and Pojaman have to inform the immigrant officers about their travels and should come back to appear before the court on August 11.
