Bangkok - Thailand hosted an international workshop on agriculture and poverty which is the cooperation project under the Asian Cooperation Dialogue (ACD).
Theerachai Saenkaew, Deputy Agriculture and Cooperatives Minister, revealed Thailand would propose the idea of the royal projects initiated by HM King Bhumibol Adulyadej to solve the poverty problem.
Cooperatives would play an important role in enhancing people’s capability to deal with poverty.
Theerachai believed the concept of the royal projects would be able to solve the poverty problem.
He also thought that participating countries would adjust the concept to their own countries.
Thirty nations attended the workshop.
China, Pakistan and Kazakstan led to push for agricultural cooperation while Bangladesh, Cambodia and Vietnam led to push for cooperation to solve the poverty problem.
