Bangkok - Gavintra Photijak, Miss Thailand 2008, was presented with the best national costume award during the 57th annual Miss Universe competition in Nha Trang.
Miss Venezuela Dayana Mendoza, 22, won the Miss Universe pageant.
The beauty pageant took place in the southern seaside resort of Nha Trang, and this was the first time the event was held in the communist country.
