Bangkok, THAILAND - Kwintra Phothichak was crowned Miss Thailand Universe 2008 in Bangkok on May 24, 2008.
Kwintra will represent Thailand in the next Miss Universe pageant in Vietnam.
The 57th Miss Universe beauty pageant is set to take place at the Crown Convention Center (Diamond Bay Resort) in Nha Trang, Vietnam on July 14.
More than 80 contestants are expected to join this event.
The beauty contest will be broadcast via NBC and Telemundo to TV outlets in over 180 countries.
Most activities will be held in Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi and Nha Trang.
Vietnam is estimated to totally spend 15 million dollars to host the event.
