Bangkok - Airports of Thailand (AoT) president Air Marshal Chana Yoosathaporn said he was confident of his performance in the past six months. But he did not confirm there would be no resignation.
AM Chana revealed the air traffic at six airports rose 6.3% from the same period of last year.
The number of passengers hiked 8.9% while the net profit was 3,498 million baht, up 160.09% compared to the same period last year.
Besides, King Power acknowledged its revenue more.
Chana admitted the skyrocketing energy prices partly affected the AoT. Its net profit figures will become clearer in the fourth quarter.
A few foreign airlines asked the AoT to reduce its landing fee and airport tax, and the issue is under consideration.
AoT has already cut down the Chiang Mai Airport’s fee to 5% since the end of 2007.
