Bangkok - Soldier and police volunteers will take care of trains in the southernmost provinces to ensure passengers’ safety.
The volunteers will guard all trains from Yala to Sungai Kolok station as part of the safety measures to deal with unexpected danger.
Particular seats will be provided for them.
Passengers will be inspected at all train stations before getting on the trains.
The 175 Hat Yai-Sungai Kolok train was the first to resume its service in the south, leaving Hat Yai station at 6:30 AM.
Soldier and police forces will patrol by foot to the risk areas.
Helicopters will also be sent to patrol the train routes by air. This is to support the ground service.
