Bangkok - Civil servants, students and general public are more conscious about energy saving, turning to use the train services more.
Trains are more popular among Buriram people as oil prices keep going up and the bus fares rose.
A student averagely pays only two baht per ten kilometers when traveling by train to and from the school.
The civil servants and students prefer monthly to daily tickets.
Train seems to be the best choice to help people reduce their living cost burden, especially when the oil prices are expensive.
Mr. Sawas Pannoi, head of the Buriram train station, revealed the number of passengers grew by 10%.
