Bangkok - Commerce ministry will join product manufacturers to hold the Blue Flag event to sell low-priced products to the consumers this weekend.
Yanyong Phuangraj, director-general of the Internal Trade Department (ITD), presided over the opening ceremony of the event, saying the Blue Flag event would be held during June-September 2008.
There will be not less than 25 Blue Flag events in the central region and provinces.
The prices of the Blue Flag products are normally 20%-40% cheaper than the market price.
Up to 50% discount will be given in the corner of Blue Flag Hour Challenges Inflation.
The product fair will take place until June 15 at the Sanam Luang 2 or Thonburi market.
Saha Patanapibul Group, Unilever Thai Holding and CP Group will offer more than 1,000 products at discount prices.
The ITD also has an idea to establish the assembly of the wet markets soon.
