Bangkok - Political and economic factors affected the stock market and could bring the stock index down further.
Sombat Narawutthichai, secretary-general of the Securities Analysts Association, revealed the questionnaires would be given to the association’s members within this week.
The questionnaires are to estimate the stock market situation.
The stock index is likely to remain at 985 points during the year-end, according to the latest estimate.
Factors affecting the investment include the 7.6% inflation and political situation which becomes more intense.
It was said the stock market was 80% affected by politics and 20% affected by the inflation.
The securities analysts tend to reduce the index estimate, and the index change is due mainly to the political situation.
