Bangkok - 56 Lao-Hmongs from 17 families were repatriated to start their new life at their domiciles.
Pol Gen Somchai Utama this morning presided over the repatriation ceremony of those Hmongs who illegally entered Thailand.
Normally, Hmong people are lured to leave their residences for the third country.
Phetchabun province is one of the favorite destinations for Hmong people.
Maj Gen Somchai gave 15,000 baht to each of them so that they could spend it to start their new life.
The Lao government will officially welcome them back in Vientiane.
Thailand has so far sent the Hmongs back to Laos twice – on 28 February and 10 April, 2008.
78 Hmong people from 22 families were sent back.
