Bangkok - The ex-premier Thaksin Shinawatra yesterday flew to Indonesia to attend the Regional Investment Forum in Jakarta, Indonesia.
Indonesia's President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono opened the forum on May 26, seeking billions of dollars in foreign direct investment to boost employment and growth.
Thaksin’s spokesman Pongthep Thepkanchana said Thaksin was ready to prove he got his 76-billion-baht assets before taking the prime minister post.
However, Klanarong Chantrik, member of the Assets Examination Committee (AEC), confirmed the AEC believed the allegations were not groundless.
Klanarong said the committee carefully investigated them and the resolution was unanimous.
