Bangkok - The Department of Labour Protection and Welfare (DLPW) has held the National Work Safety Week since May 8. The number of employees who took more-than-three-day leaves tends to drop.
Mr. Padungsak Thephassadin Na Ayutthaya, director general of the DLPW, said less employees took more-than-three-day leaves. But the number of injured employees is still high in each year.
More than 77% of the injuries were cuts and hurts due to lack of safety devices and regulations breaking.
Today is the last day of the National Work Safety Week.
The event takes place at the Challenger 3 Building, IMPACT, Muang Thong Thani.
It is aimed at exchanging working information and experience to improve the work safety.
